How to read Broker data

Sample Broker Report

Description of important columns

  • Rank:
    this is simply rank of broker with most traded TOTAL volume meaning buy + sell ^= the first column Tot Vol.
  • Trade %:
    simply a % figure eg if i say 5.1% it means 5.1% of the total cumulative volume traded over the time span (week)
  • Buys:
    just means number of buy trades that were done.
  • Buy Price:
    Is the average bought price of a stock over the period of the broker report, in this case a week.
  • Buy Volume:
    Is the average bought volume of a stock over the period of the broker report.
  • Net Volume:
    Is the amount of stock bought less sold by a stock the period of the broker report.
  • NetVal:
    is just a dollar figure of how much they bought or sold based on a dollar figure as per to the share price they bought or sold.
  • TotVal:
    is just a net dollar figure of how much they holding = (BuyVol * BuyPrc) – (SellVol * SellPrc).
  • T: This just means thousands so if you see 234T, this just translates to 234,000.
